In April, I had one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I traveled from Nashville to the Bahamas with my wonderful friend and photographer, Gabriel Rosario, for a wedding! We stayed at Atlantis, which was one of the coolest and largest resorts I had ever been to. We arrived on Friday afternoon, checked in, grabbed lunch and drinks (hello pineapple rum and sunshine) and explored the resort - while also keeping in mind that we were there for business (but lbh that beach was calling my name!).
Friday night we photographed the rehersal dinner at Bahabar, a gorgeous resort like hotel with spectacular views and Bahamian food. Fast forward to Saturday morning, 7:45 A.M. I am drinking my first cup of coffee and taking in the breathtaking beach view from our balcony. (Do we really have to get ready for this all day work day?) Yes, we do - it's cool though because I love what I do - and photographing a wedding in the Bahamas... At The Four Seasons... Okay, I don't have a bad gig I suppose.
Sunday funday! Waterslides, junk food and drinks? I'M IN! Too bad. No late check out and a flight back to Ft. Lauderdale Florida and then Nashville TN, I'd rather not be sandy and wet... That's okay - junk food and exploring is still fun amirite?
But for real, overall this super quick trip to the Bahamas has me urning to go back ASAP! We also got a couple photos in (obvs)
These Stubbs & Wootton slippers are my go to summer shoe. I can dress these up with soem khaki chinos with a blazer or dress them down with some shorts and t for a fun night out.
This button down J-Crew flamingo shirt had me living my best island life. Such a great choice for the island life. J-Crew also has more of these in different patterns - even one with ice cream on it!
My go to easy look. A casual Polo Ralph Lauren button down with khakis paired with a tan loafer - you can never go wrong.
